Fisher Price IXL Learning System - An iPad Like Device for Children
Even though many of us may not want to think about it, the Christmas 2010 season is quickly sneaking up on us, leaving us to plan our Christmas shopping for the coming season. While many of us can put off most of our shopping till Black Friday, it is usually not a good idea for children, especially if some of the items on their Christmas list are on the hot toy list for the Christmas 2010 season. One toy that has been getting a great deal of publicity this season from many popular toy sites is the Fisher Price IXL Learning System.
Unlike many other learning computers that had been previously made by Fisher Price, the Fisher Price IXL Learning System was created with the iPad in mind, giving children a touch screened computer that allows them to be just like Mommy and Daddy. What makes this hand held computer even more unique however, is the fact that it is actually six learning activities in one, allowing children to access on their touch screen a photo album, storybook, notebook, music player, art studio, and game player. This hand held computer comes with the software already loaded and it is out of the box ready to be used. It is lightweight, opens like a book and has an attached stylus. It is produced in a red/silver combination, a blue color, and a pink color. The Fisher Price IXL Learning System's included USB cord connects to both and is PC and Mac compatible. Once connected you can load your own photos, music and additional software to the device. It has a slot to expand the memory and there is additional software that can be purchased. Like many other Fisher Price computers, this activity center is made with the purpose of helping young mind's develop without having parents spend a fortune on new games for the device.
For children who are constantly on the go, the Fisher Price IXL Learning System is an ideal Christmas gift, designed for children ages 3 to 7. This iPad like device is perfect for entertaining children in the car, on a plane ride to Grandma's house, or in a waiting room. It is very useful for quiet time for children who no longer nap but need some down time during the day.
While many parents may love the idea of this gift being delivered by Santa, there is one catch - the fact that nearly every other parents in the United States wants one for their child. Due to only a limited number of the Fisher Price IXL Learning System being produced, most toy stores are already running out of this popular toy, creating long waiting lists and the hope that it will be in before Christmas.
Before deciding to go purchase the Fisher Price I XL Learning System, make sure you go to http://www.fisherpriceixllearning.com first to learn a bit more about this toy. Along with giving you the information you need to know, they will tell you where exactly to find this highly desired toy.

Fisher-Price Tickle Me Elmo - 19 Fun Facts About the Elmo Phenomenon
Who would have guessed back in 1996 that Tickle Me Elmo, a newly released plush toy, would become the hot new sales sensation that Christmas? He was "just" a funny little bundle of red fur who laughed hysterically when you tickled him. And yet since that time Tickle Me Elmo and his successors have topped the sales charts for several Christmas seasons.
This year promises to be another hot sales year for the Elmo line of plush dolls with the introduction of Elmo Live! by Fisher Price. Some stores are currently limiting the quantity you can buy in anticipation of hot sales numbers. Here are 19 fun facts about the sales sensation started by the little red guy who laughs.
1. Tyco introduced Tickle Me Elmo into the United States markets in 1996. By Christmas Elmo had become a sales phenomenon.
2. Elmo saw a jump in sales after Rosie O'Donnell featured the doll on an episode of her show in October of 1996. Whenever a guest said the word "wall," Rosie threw a doll into the audience.
3. A similar jump in sales occurred that same year after Bryant Gumbel held a doll during most of an episode of the Today Show.
4. The day after Thanksgiving of 1996 Tickle Me Elmo sold out in 2 hours in most stores throughout the country.
5. Tyco originally expected 400,000 Elmos to sell that first year. They easily sold that many and were unable to meet demand through Christmas despite their continued urgent manufacture of the doll.
6. The shortage in supplies drove some parents in North America to extreme measures. Parents actually fought each other in stores over the doll.
7. Prices shot up with classified ads in some newspapers advertising the toy for hundreds of dollars. One report claims that the .99 toy sold for as much as 00.
8. Several stories of injuries around the nation were reported. For example, on December 14, 1996 at a Wal-mart in Fredericton, New Brunswick a crowd injured a clerk when they spotted him holding one of the last dolls in stock.
9. The New York Daily News reported an unusual story. John Gotti, Jr., son of the reputed mob boss, purchased a case of Tickle Me Elmos at a store in Queens, New York several weeks after the doll had sold out. Store officials said Gotti "was just fortunate to be in the right place at the right time."
10. The vibrating feature of Elmo uses a larger version of the vibration motor found in cell phones and game controllers.
11. In 1997 three new Tickle Me dolls were released: Tickle Me Ernie, Tickle Me Big Bird, and Tickle Me Cookie Monster. None of them have matched the mysterious success of Elmo.
12. In 2001 a "surprise edition" of Tickle Me Elmo was released as part of a contest. On January 9, 2002 five of the dolls stopped laughing. They then announced to their owners that the owners had won a prize, the largest being a staggering 0,000.
13. The TMX - meaning either Tickle Me Extreme or Tickle Me Ten (where "X" is the Roman numeral 10) -- was released as part of a 10th anniversary commemoration of the first doll. TMX Elmo expanded Elmo's laughing behaviors to include rolling around on the floor and smashing his fist on the ground.
14. In a well-executed marketing promotion, the manufacturer built excitement for the TMX by shrouding TMX Elmo in secrecy prior to its release. People who reviewed the product prior to its release were required to sign confidentiality agreements that prevented them from disclosing details about the doll early.
15. The TMX Elmo marketing promotion included pre-release sales of the doll. Amazon took more presale orders than it could fulfill.
16. The full look of the TMX doll was first revealed on ABC's Good Morning America.
17. The box for TMX Elmo hid the doll from view until it was purchased. A "preview flap" on the box only let you see Elmo's eyes, and he said, "Ah, ah, ah, ah! No peeking!"
18. A 2007 version of the doll featured hidden messages that Elmo would only say if you did just the right things to the doll. Rhyming clues on the manufacturer's web site helped consumers figure out how to trigger the special messages.
19. The 2008 version of the doll is called Elmo Live! He features a whole new set of actions and sounds, making him the most advanced version of the popular Elmo dolls. Sales of Elmo Live! are expected to be brisk for the 2008 Christmas season. With the economic difficulties we are having this year it will be interesting to see how well Elmo Live! sells.

One Piece Swimwear - Classy, Elegant and Sexier Than Ever - The Perfect Swimsuit For You
One piece swimwear is back in fashion as women all over the world are realizing that modesty doesn't have to mean zero sex appeal. Modern one-piece swimsuits have come a long way from knitted wool talks of the 1920's.
The runways of Paris reveal we haven't quite lost that love of everything retro in one-piece bathing suits with many referencing the Hollywood belles of the 1940' and 50's including the forever glamorous Marilyn Munroe and Betty Garble.
Low v-necklines and vertical seams at the bust line are helping to make this year's swimwear more flattering than ever before, demonstrating that covering up a little can be just as alluring as an itsy bitsy bikini.
In fact women often feel more comfortable and confident, therefore omitting more sex appeal in a one piece.
This season it's all about details and embellishments. The higher end one-pieces tend to look more "bling" than bland with beading, sequins and studs. Rings, buckles, bows and ruffles also give suits a retro style. Keep a look out for suits with asymmetrical detailing like big rings or buckles on only one hip or shoulder.
Swimwear lovers can get a more sophisticated style by keeping the suit simple and classic. But not every one-piece reveals an unblemished silhouette. This is to some extent because one-pieces can be tricky to fit properly, mainly do to the fact that many women are different sizes on the top and bottom.
Another variation to the one piece swimsuit, the tankini, solves this problem by allowing customers the cover of a one piece while being able to opt for separate top and bottom sizes.
The most recent take on the classic one piece are now referred to as monokinis and are popping up everywhere brought on by Paris Hilton's sexy Carls Jr advertisement.
Even the stars of desperate housewives, one of the sexiest shoes on television, decided to ditch the bikinis and grace the cover of Vanity Fair in various one piece swimsuits, cementing their spot in celebrity culture.
Other stars in recent times to catch the eyes of the paparazzi in their one pieces were Penelope Cruz in an Ermes Red Swimsuit with ring detail and Katie Holmes in her infamous black belted one piece.
So all you die hard bikini fans out there, why not try a one-piece swimsuit or at least add it to your vacation swimwear wardrobe, after all a change is as good as a holiday.

All About The Mickey Mouse Dancing Toy and Where To Get It At A Good Price
Are you looking for information on the new Mickey Mouse dancing toy by Fisher Price? Have you searched everywhere across the internet for a great deal on this new hot item for the holiday season, and have found nothing? In this article, I am going to share with you where you can get this great toy at a great price, but would first like to tell you what makes this item the hottest of the season.
Why are people buying Mickey Dance Star?
Fisher Price and Disney have really done it this time with their new product. With its debut on 'Dancing With The Stars' (on NBC), this toy has already become the most popular item on every child's Christmas list. Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney's creation, is already one of the most popular faces and characters of today. And, what could be better, than giving your child this great plush toy that comes to life right before their very eyes.
This doll is about 2 feet in height, as well as very soft and hugable, making it also a great cuddle toy at bed time. It can do a number of things that will keep your child entertained and smiling for hours.
Some of Mickey's features include:
• Singing
• Talking
• Dancing
• Joke Telling
• Clapping
• Feet Stomping
• And much more...
Another great thing is that it is portable and can be taken anywhere. It runs on 6 AA batteries and operates by pushing his foot. You really will just have to see for yourself how great this toy can be for you and your child.
Where can you get this Mickey Mouse dancing toy at a great price?
I have done a lot of research in finding the best deal for this item, since I am giving it as a Christmas gift to my god son and nephew. So far, the best place I have found this item is online. It has been very hard for me to find it in retail stores where I live since it is extremely new and has been selling rather quick. Online merchants seem to have better supply. The price of Mickey can be pretty costly, however through my research, I have found the best place to get this item at a great price.

A Pirate's review of the amazing Thomas and Friends Take n Play set, Thomas At Pirates Cove. Overall a visually exciting playset with loads of playability. My 2 year old son loves this Thomas toy and it's a fantastic addition to his ever growing Take n Play collection. This set is based on two Thomas & Friends episodes but the play adventure goes well past the relationship to the TV series stories. I feel Salty is the missing character here as he is the real storyteller on Sodor, that's my little message in the intro video. Even the Chuggington trains get a ride at Pirates Cove! Using Color Psychology to Sell Your Home
When painting your home for resale, choosing the right colors can make a huge difference in your paycheck at closing. For instance, did you know that the exterior color of houses selling most quickly is a certain shade of yellow, but that choosing the wrong shade of yellow can kill a sale?
You'll find many brochures in paint stores, showing various combinations of exterior paint colors. But most people don't realize that most of those combinations actually include three colors, and not just two. Limiting your exterior paint scheme to just two colors also limits your income potential.
For a fast sale, think fun colors and go for a third, or even a fourth, exterior color. Think "Disneyland Main Street," where every shop is painted in glorious multi-colors. Adding more colors will also add definition to the various architectural details of your home. Use gloss or semi-gloss paint on wood trim.
The Psychology of Exterior Colors
When choosing exterior colors, take the sales price of your home into account. Certain colors, especially muted, complex shades, attract wealthy or highly-educated buyers, whereas buyers with less income or less education generally prefer simpler colors. A complex color contains tints of gray or brown, and usually requires more than one word to describe, such as "sage green," as opposed to "green."
On the other hand, simple colors are straightforward and pure. Generally, houses in the lower price range sell faster and for higher prices when painted in simple colors like yellow or tan, accented by white, blue, or green trim.
The Psychology of Interior Colors
Using colored, rather than bland, white walls will increase your profit potential. Lynette Jennings tested the perception of room size and color, and discovered that a room painted white appeared only appeared larger to a few people when compared to an identical room painted in color - and the perceived difference was only about six inches! Most people also look better when surrounded by color, and feel happier, and since buyers pick houses that make them feel happy, that knowledge can put dollars in your pocket at closing!
Entryways should bring the exterior colors into the house. Repeating shades of the exterior throughout your home will make the entire home seem to be in harmony. Living and family rooms painted in a slightly lighter shade of the exterior color will ensure that you've picked a color your buyers like, because if they didn't like your exterior colors, they wouldn't have bothered to look inside. If they loved the exterior colors, they'll love the interior, too.
When choosing interior colors, consider the use of each room. For instance, kitchen and dining areas that are painted in "food colors," such as coffee browns, celery greens, and scrambled egg yellows, feel natural.
Since, deeper shades of color imply intimacy and serenity, I like to paint master bedrooms a medium shade of green or blue for warm selling seasons, and rouge red for cooler weather. Other bedrooms can be painted in creamy tones of green, blue, or a pale shell pink. (See the chapter on the Psychology of Color in my book "Joy to the Home: Secrets of Interior Design Psychology" for further information.)
Selling Season
Always consider your selling season (the time of year you'll be marketing your home) and climate when choosing colors. Estimate the amount of time you'll need to get your home ready for sale, and then add on extra days for unexpected delays. Use cool colors, such as blues, greens, and grays, to sell during spring and summer, and warm colors, such as yellows, reds, and maroons, when selling in the fall and winter.
Color Intensity
My husband and I usually use lighter colors when painting the exteriors of our investment dollhouses, because it makes them appear larger. On the other hand, our cabin in the woods looks richer when painted a darker color. When we decided to have it painted, I considered the usual cabin colors of dark brown and barn red, but fell in love with Olympic's gorgeous "Gooseberry" plum color.
When getting ready to paint your house, look at the colors of neighboring houses and choose colors that harmonize, yet stand out from the crowd. Colors that clash badly with other houses will detract from the overall neighborhood.
At the beginning of the article, I told you that homes with yellow exteriors sell the quickest. But which shade of yellow sells best? First, the yellows to avoid: yellows with green undertones look sickly to most buyers, and yellows with orange undertones give buyers an impression of cheapness.
The best-selling yellow exterior color is actually a pale, sunny yellow, especially when complimented with one or more carefully-chosen accent colors. For instance, a semi-gloss white trim will give your home a clean and fresh look, and adding a third color, such as green, can make your home even more attractive to prospective buyers.
Colors affect human beings in many ways, and by using the principles of Color Psychology, you can make your home stand out from the competition, sell more quickly, and at a higher price.

Fisher Price Power Wheels - Do Not Choose the Wrong One For Your Older Child
The majority of Fisher Price Power Wheels vehicles are really focused at children above the age of three, which you would think means a great choice for parents with children in this age group. Not so. Parents' continuously pay large amounts of money on the vehicle that looks the best for their particular child and wrongly assume that they all have the same great Fisher Price performance, capability and fun factor under the hood. Wrong again.
For so many parents, their child's battery powered ride-on just becomes a costly mistake and either ends up cast aside or not really used or they actually spend another large sum of money to now buy the appropriate vehicle. This super quick parent guide attempts to help those parents on the verge of buying a Fisher Price Power Wheels vehicle for their child and hopefully will save you from making the same costly mistakes like so many other parents before and provide your child with maximum safe driving fun at the same time.
Speed
Buy a model that will give your growing child the necessary speed that they will inevitably want as time goes on. PowerWheels vehicles are currently powered by either a 6 volt battery or a 12 volt battery. 6 volts will generally drive the vehicle at about 2.5mph, whereas the 12 volt battery will power the vehicle forward at a maximum of 5mph. However, these 'official' top speeds are under perfect conditions running on a fully charged optimal battery and a perfectly flat, smooth and clean road surface. In reality, you will probably achieve a little less speed.
The 6 volt 2.5mph limit is fine for your older child when they are just getting used to their new toy, but give it a few weeks and the 'crawling' 6 volt speed becomes very boring, very quickly for them, particularly as other kids on bicycles zip past them!
Off Road Driving
Buy a model that is capable of dealing with everyday surfaces other than just the smooth road. In reality you kid will want to drive over concrete, grass and gravel. Some Power Wheels vehicles have been designed for kids that mainly use them in their grass back yard or in the park, but countless parents buy models that simply come to a standstill or enter into crawl mode when they get onto grass and the parents spend most of the time pushing their child and vehicle out.
It is not only the ATV or off road looking vehicles that have off road capability, some of the normal cars have great off road capability as well. Being able to perform over less desirable surface conditions really comes down to the power of the battery (12 volts = best), traction ability (the new Monster Traction = best), tire tread and width (wide rugged tires = best) and weight of vehicle (lighter = best).
Brake Safety
Buy a model with the Fisher Price Power Wheels 'Power Lock' braking system. This is especially important for the faster 12 volt vehicles as opposed to the slower 6 volt vehicles. It's one thing for your child to race their new ride on toy at top speed downhill, but it is always nice to know that when it comes to stopping that the vehicle's braking system can actually stop your child quickly and under control.
The Power Lock braking system is being fitted to most of the 12 volt vehicles now and really does go a long way in providing more capable stopping ability for your child to maximize safety and minimize harm for them. For the older and more advanced drivers out there, this braking system also allows you to pull off some great slides!
Top Power Wheels Picks For Older Children
The most popular and consistently highly rated Fisher Price Power Wheels vehicles that have 12 volt batteries, 'more than' smooth road surface capability and are fitted with the Power Lock braking system include: Barbie Jammin Jeep, Rubicon Jeep, Ford F150, Cadillac Escalade, Kawasaki KFX Ninja, Barbie Ford Mustang and partially applicable is the Lightning McQueen.

Create a Sizzling Home Sales Flyer
Did you know that the sales flyer is the most important tool in selling a house?
Even if your home is listed with an agent, check the flyer that your agent has created, to see if you can jazz it up. Examine it closely, to make sure that all your amenities are listed. For instance, a real estate agent made up a flyer for our home and forgot to list "waterfront property!"
Most real estate agents use a standard format for making their flyers. They list features, amenities, price, and contact information (usually with a big photo of themselves). But buyers don't care how beautiful your agent is! They want to know why your home is better than every other house in the neighborhood.
The one sales technique that most real estate agents fail to use effectively when they make flyers is listing BENEFITS. Like the sales letters you see on websites, a powerful selling flyer will concentrate on a home's benefits to the buyer.
Here's a sampling of possible benefits:
1. Enjoy your private park-like garden
2. Get the space you need to spread out
3. Live in a romantic hideaway
4. Sleep without traffic noise
5. Walk to schools, parks, and shopping
6. Seller will help pay your closing costs
7. Buy with no money down
8. Move in without having to paint or fix a thing
9. Swim in your own private lagoon
10. Enjoy your own personal luxury spa
Do you see the pattern? Each of the above examples features an action verb, followed by a benefit.

How to Get the Fisher Price IXL on Sale
Young children seem to love adult technology. There's just something about our smartphones, iPads and eReaders that draws the toddler to touch and play with them. Fortunately, there's a child-friendly alternative, the Fisher Price iXL. Experts are predicting that this will be the hot toy this Christmas season, and I can show you how to get it on sale.
Why is the iXL so appealing to children?
The iXL has many features that attract children to it, sometimes for hours at a time. Children love to imitate their parents, and the user interface resembles Mom and Dad's iPhone with its applications. The screen is in color, and there are six functions on it:
Game Player Book Reader MP3 Music Player Art Book Photo Viewer Notepad
There's a monkey character that animates the stories, and gives help in using the device. Parents can load their own music and pictures with a USB cable connected to the computer, or with a SD card. Children can then draw on the pictures in the art book, or listen to the music while playing the games. There are additional story and game sets available for purchase based on children's favorite characters, including Disney. The stories and games are a natural winner, and the handheld size appeals to young children who take pleasure in copying grownups whom they see using similar adult technology.
How to get the Fisher Price iXL on sale

However, as a hot item, you may find yourself driving from store to store looking for one in stock, which wastes money on gas. So, your best bet it buy it on sale online from a store with free shipping.

Fisher Price - Papasan Cradle Swing
The Fisher Price Baby Papasan Swing is the latest baby product that all the moms are talking about. It claims to supply quality for a baby and an extra relief for parents, but is it worth the hefty 0 price tag ?
When it comes to choosing the right swing for your newborn baby it can be a hard thing to do because you want to make sure that you choose the right one for you and your baby. Having a newborn baby is the most wonderful thing in this life and sharing precious moments is the main goal, along with maintaining a healthy and promising future for your child.
This wonderful swing made by Fisher Price does more than enough to help your baby in the beginning development stages of life by providing a soft and comfortable liner that is curved to fit your babies features.
The Papasan Swing is not like any other swing because instead of just rocking from front to back, you can also have the option to rock your baby from side to side. Most babies prefer to be rocked side to side as this is one of natures natural comforts that many can't argue with today.
There are many more different features this swing has to offer such as the six different speeds that you can control to determine exactly how fast or slow your baby likes to be rocked, and there is a motorized toy overhead with butterflies and other cute little friends that keep your baby occupied while swinging.
Soothing music seems to be another important roll in calming a baby down and this swing covers that instantly with many different lullabies for you to choose from and it also come with a timer as well. This leads me to the next important aspect of this cradle swing.
When it comes to having more time to cook dinner for your family, or even just spending some time alone with your husband or wife, this swing allows you to do exactly that. Your baby will instantly calm down and this will also help your baby fall asleep as well.

Fisher Price Aquarium
Humans have always been mesmerized and calmed by the sights and sounds of moving water, a tendency seen even in infants. Soft, dappled lights are calming and hypnotic and the sounds of soft classical music or the trickle of water are also great at calming fussy babies. It is hard to find videos with the muted colors, lights, and sounds that are so soothing to babies, and even so, playing a video within sight of the crib isn't always practical. But toy manufacturers are stepping into this niche and offering a number of toys that are specifically designed to help babies relax and fall asleep. One of those products is called the Ocean Wonder Aquarium, and it is made by Fisher Price.
The Fisher Price Ocean Wonder Aquarium is a device that attaches to a crib for the purpose of soothing your baby with classical music, sound effects, and bubbles rising up to the surface. The Aquarium can be used in one or more sound or light modes: sounds, lights, and motion; sounds and lights only, or sounds only. The mommy fish appears to swish through the water followed by the baby fish. Look behind the coral and you'll see a little crab playing peek-a-boo. All the while, "seaweed" sways in the water. The device has a remote control that parents or caregivers can use from the doorway. The aquarium has a "wrap-around" design to maximize the view of the scene, and it is made to fit most standard cribs. Measuring 9.5 x 4.25 x 9.75 inches, the Fisher Price Ocean Wonder Aquarium requires three C batteries, which are included.
When a baby learns to calm himself and go to sleep with minimal fuss, it is a great accomplishment both for him and for you. With the Fisher Price Ocean Wonder Aquarium, your baby learns that crib time is quiet time.

A WHITER SHADE OF PALE - PROCOL HARUM - (1967)
PROCOL HARUM are a British rock band, formed in 1967, which contributed to the development of progressive rock, and by extension, symphonic rock. Their best-known recording is their 1967 single "A Whiter Shade of Pale". Although noted for its baroque and classical influence, Procol Harum's music also embraces the blues, R&B and soul. History - Origins Based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, The Paramounts, led by Gary Brooker and Robin Trower and including Chris Copping and BJ Wilson, scored a moderate British success in 1964, with their cover version of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller's "Poison Ivy", which reached number 35 in the UK Singles Chart. Unable to generate any follow-up success, the group disbanded in 1966. Early years At Olympic Studios, with session drummer (and non-Paramount) Bill Eyden, producer Denny Cordell, and sound engineer Keith Grant, the group recorded "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and it was released on 12 May 1967. With a structure reminiscent of Baroque music, a countermelody based on JS Bach's cantata no.140 by Fisher's Hammond organ, Brooker's soulful vocals and Reid's mysterious lyrics, "A Whiter Shade of Pale" reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart and the Canadian RPM Magazine chart. It did almost as well in the United States, reaching #5.[2] In Australia, it was #1 for many weeks, setting a record of 8 weeks in Melbourne. After "A Whiter Shade of Pale" became a hit, the band set out to consolidate their studio success by touring; their live debut was ...
